Research on Lipovox
The 12 "SuperFoods"
Acai - Nature's Most Powerful Fruit
Grown in the rainforests of Brazil, Acai is packed with antioxidants, amino acids and essential fatty acids. In fact, Acai has 10 times more antioxidants than red grapes. It's also rich in oleic acid, which helps omega-3 fish oils penetrate the cell membrane, thus making the skin suppler. According to Dr. Perricone's research "by keeping the cell membrane supple, all hormones, neurotransmitter and insulin receptors function more efficiently. This is particularly important because high insulin levels create an inflammatory state, and we know, inflammation causes aging." It also has a connection to weight loss. High insulin levels lead to increased body fat. Controlling or lowering you insulin levels removes triglycerides (fat) from fat cells and also inhibits fat from being stored. So Acai does live up to its reputation as "Nature's Most Powerful Fruit."
Cayenne Pepper Fruit
Since the FDA banned Ephedra, many diet pill companies have used Cayenne Pepper Fruit as a heart-healthy replacement. This is because the active ingredient in peppers (capsaicin) exhibits thermogenic fat burning abilities by revving up your metabolism. Recent research has concluded that capsaicin acts as an anti-inflammatory agent, whose benefits were explained above. Unfortunately, Lipovox does not disclose the amount of cayenne fruit pepper extract used.
Garlic
Lipovox is one of the only diet pills that incorporates garlic into its formula. Extensive research has shown that garlic reduces the accumulation of cholesterol on vascular walls. It not only decreases LDL (bad cholesterol) levels, but it increases HDL (healthy cholesterol) levels. Garlic's fat burning properties stem from its ability to regulate blood-sugar levels. Now, the pounds won't melt away if you eat garlic all day long, but it definitely adds to Lipovox's credibility as a weight loss supplement. Unfortunately, Lipovox does not disclose the amount of garlic extract used.
Soybeans Isoflavones
Soybeans contain essential fatty acids, such as omega-3 and omega-6. As mentioned above, omega-3 is an effective anti-inflammatory agent, which helps moderate blood sugar levels. Again, Lipovox does not disclose the amount of soybean extract used.
Barley
Lipovox's ingredient, barley, sounds like a pretty strange ingredient to be in a diet pill. The truth is it elicits many healthful benefits. Barley contains soluble fiber, which helps metabolize fats, cholesterol and carbohydrates and lowers blood cholesterol levels. It also give you tocotrienols, the so-called "super" form of Vitamin E. Another great Lipovox ingredient.
Wheatgrass
This nutrient dense ingredient offers a ton of beneficial effects on cholesterol, blood pressure, immune response and cancer. Lipovox does not list the concentration of wheatgrass. Another disappointment. I don't think this ingredient offers much weight loss potential.
Lactobacillus Acidophilus
This is a bacterium. Now, the word bacterium seems pretty scary, but there are actually some "friendly" bacteria. Lactobacillus Acidophilus is found in foods such as yogurt and kefir. It promotes a healthy digestive tract and acts as a natural antibiotic. It doesn't have much to do with weight loss, but all the same, it will improve your health.
Alfalfa Sprouts
Sprouts are packed with nutrients such as phytochemicals that help protect us against disease. Alfalfa is rich in saponins, which HDL (the bad cholesterol). Furthermore, sprouts are rich in highly active antioxidants that prevent DNA destruction and protect you from the effects of aging. It has some promise, but not much as a weight loss aid. Sprouts help support Lipovox's claim for being an anti-wrinkle agent.
Flaxseed
Nuts, such as flaxseed, are known to curb appetite and reduce the effects of aging. It contains a high concentration of alpha linolenic acids, which contain omega-3 fatty acids, much like salmon. Benefits of flaxseed as shown in many studies include lowering LDL (bad cholesterol) levels. It also may lower blood triglyceride levels and blood pressure. Flaxseed is also anti-oxidant reach. Flaxseed really is a SuperFood.
Buckwheat
It not only reduces cholesterol, but it stabilizes blood-sugar levels--a key factor in preventing diabetes and obesity. Another benefit of Lipovox.
Green Tea Extract
Green Tea is the best ingredient in Lipovox for weight loss. It contains 150mg of Green Tea Leaf Extract per capsule. This popular ingredient burns fat in two ways: increases energy expenditure and fat oxidation. In one study, green tea alone helped participants lose more than 7 pounds. Green tea is highly concentrated with antioxidants. In fact,
Salmon Oil Powder
Salmon is one of my favorite ingredients in Lipovox. It is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are anti-inflammatory agents. This helps with both ACNE and WRINKLES.
The 2 Super Antioxidants
Alpha Lipoic Acid
This is one of nature's most potent antioxidants. As we age, our cells start to break down and malfunction. The organelle most effected is the mitochondria, which causes us to age much quicker than we'd like. ALA is tools used to keep the mitochondria in tact, slowing down the effects of aging. Lipovox does not give us the amount of ALA.
DMAE
Dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE) is a precursor to the neurotransmitter Acetylcholine. It is an essential neurotransmitter that controls muscle function and it may reverse the effects of aging and help you lose weight.
The ingredients in Lipovox are good. It will provide you with many essential vitamins, antioxidants, amino acids and fatty acids. If you've read each ingredient description it is obvious that the combination of these ingredients back up Lipovox's claim of being the weight loss, acne, and wrinkle solution.
Conclusion
As you've noticed, my main problem with Lipovox is that they do not provide us with the amounts their ingredients (except green tea). This would make me hesitant to recommend Lipovox, but again, it is an industry norm.
So does Lipovox work? It does for most people. I've read a lot of positive reviews and even tried it for myself and saw good results: 14 lbs in one month. I continue to take Lipovox because it makes me feel healthy and actually gives me a little "high."
I recommend Lipovox because there is basically no risk involved. At most, you'll lose a few bucks on shipping costs. Is the potential solution to your weight/acne/wrinkle problems worth more to you than a couple bucks? If it is, I recommend trying Lipovox.
